High T_c Superconductor YBa₂Cu₃O₇

Atomic resolution high angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscope image (Z-contrast image) of high T_c superconductor YBa₂Cu₃O₇ with stacking faults. This high T_c superconductor will be used in constructing all superconducting 32 tesla magnet. The defects shown are beneficial to critical current density.
