Welcome to the Magnet Lab's media center, where you can find news and information, facts about the lab and more. We hope you'll spend some time looking around. If you don't see what you're looking for, please contact Susan Ray. We'll try to get you what you need.

The Media Center is the product of the lab's Office of Public Affairs. The group is focused on communicating the excellent work and innovation of the lab and its significance to external audiences, which include the scientific community, other academic institutions, the legislature and primarily the general public.

In addition to publications such as Mag Lab Reports, Flux, brochures, fact sheets and other informational materials, the group communicates internal news and information through the Mag.Net, an internal online newsletter, and orchestrates the annual Open House, which attracts upwards of 3,500 people each February. The group also develops content for and manages the Web site together with the Optical Microscopy/Web Outreach group.
