TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Ever wondered how objects levitate inside a high magnetic field, or how engineers create high magnetic fields?

You can find out Thursday night when the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at The Florida State University is featured in the Discovery Science show, "How Do They Do It?"

The episode featuring the lab will debut at 9 p.m. on the Science Channel (Comcast Cable channel 110). Thursday's episode also will feature propellers and intelligent cars.

If viewers can't catch the show's premiere episode, it will be repeated at midnight Thursday and again on Sept. 26 at 4 a.m.

The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory develops and operates state-of-the-art, high-magnetic-field facilities that faculty and visiting scientists and engineers use for research. The laboratory is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the state of Florida. To learn more visit www.magnet.fsu.edu.
