Mag Lab Reports is the lab's primary publication. Coming out four times a year, the mostly scientific publication features news and information about the lab's users programs and facilities, and highlights groundbreaking research from various disciplines.

Latest Issue: Volume 16 - Issue 4

This issue of Mag Lab Reports previews exciting changes in the new year, from the new, unified magnet time application, to an improved cryogenics system to support the planned Series Connected Hybrid and the 45 tesla hybrid. Also:.

  • Colleagues and friends remember Bob Guertin, who passed away June 12, 2009.
  • The Series Connected Hybrid magnet system moves forward with development of 20 kA joints.
  • The High B/T facility at the University of Florida branch opens a fast-turnaround 10 mK -10 T annex.
  • Using high magnetic fields, low temperatures and highly sensitive torque magnetometry available at the Magnet Lab, scientists detect the dHvA oscillations in a-uranium at ambient pressure.
  • Nanostrutured thin films synthesis opens up a new frontier at the Magnet Lab.
