Travel to Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires
Arrival Information
Most international flights operate at the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE), while domestic flights operate at Aeroparque (AEP), within the city of Buenos Aires.
Currency can be exchanged within the airport at Banco Nacion (National Bank). However, it is usually better to use the teller machines ATM (Citibank and HSBC) that are available at the airport main lobby, which work with all major credit or debit cards.
A bus company (Manuel Tienda Leon) offers transportation to downtown Buenos Aires and the ride takes about 40 minutes from EZE. The ticket stand of the Manuel Tienda Leon company is the first booth to the left in the small hall right after you exit customs. You may also hire a private taxi ("remis") at the booths in the same hall, at the left hand side. A ride in a private car downtown is about ARS$150 (about US$40) Please do not accept taxis offered by individuals, in the main hall of the airport or outside.
CURRENCY CONVERSION
The argentine currency is the Peso (ARS), the current conversion rate is about 4.2 Pesos = 1 US$, and 5.9 Pesos = 1 EUR.
