This workshop is organized in conjunction with NHMFL's Annual User's Committee Meeting to be held Oct. 14- 15 in Tallahassee, FL.
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together experts in the field, users, and prospective users of the NHMFL facilities to share views, science, and identify problems and solutions related to performing NMR spectroscopy in high magnetic fields from the point of view of condensed matter systems. In particular, the NHMFL is currently building the new 36/41T Series Connected Hybrid (SCH) which is scheduled to be commissioned in mid-2014. See here for specifications.
One particular feature of this magnet (compared to the 45T Hybrid) is its higher homogeneity and power stability suitable for higher resolution (40mm bore, 1ppm/10mmDSV) NMR due to large outsert inductance. Another is its very low power usage which would allow running experiments over extended periods. We would like to have a panel discussion with active audience participation on ideas where this magnet can be harnessed to its full potential.
Attendance is on first come, first served basis. We would like to limit the workshop to no more than 40 participants.
Participants are requested to submit contributions to our poster session.
