³He System C

This is a sample in vacuum cryostat bottom-loading ³Helium Insert. The effective operating temperature range is 280mk to 50k. Due to possible touches between the IVC tail and sample stages the O.D. of a sample stage should be less than 0.5 inches. Experiments that can performed in this system include:

• transport
• susceptibility
• heat capacitance
• high pressure
• thermal conductivity

The insert is available for experiments. This system works in 35T magnets and the 45T hybrid magnet.
