Safety Training and Resources
The Mag Lab has a comprehensive set of safety programs designed to ensure the safest possible conditions for faculty, staff, users and visitors. Our training slideshows provide visiting scientists and staff with an introduction to our Environmental Health and Safety Program and the hazards encountered at the laboratory. For more information, visit our Online Learning System. For more information contact Environmental Health and Safety Manager Angela Sutton at sutton@magnet.fsu.edu or (850) 644-6955.

Mag Lab Summer School
Mag Lab Summer School is designed to provide a "technique toolkit" to early career scientists. Techniques presented - which includes proper grounding, noise suppression, thermodynamic and transport measurements, to name a few - will help scientists get the most out of experiments in high magnetic fields, but also can be used back at the students' home labs. The weeklong summer school features tutorials on measurement techniques, practical exercise and plenary talks. Check the Mag Lab Summer School page for more specific details.
For more information about user training, please contact Angela Sutton or the applicable facility director/staff member.
