The Magnet Lab Condos

The Magnet Lab provides housing for visiting scientists at very reasonable rates at condos found at two locations near the Magnet Lab:

1921-1 Honeysuckle Drive
This 4-bedroom, 4-bath condo is fully furnished and includes weekly maid service (usually done on Sunday afternoon). All linens are provided. There are two single beds in each bedroom. The kitchen is equipped and has a microwave, dishwasher, etc. There is also a washer and dryer. The common area includes the kitchen, dining, living areas and laundry room. You will need transportation, as the condo, about 3 miles (4 km) from the Mag Lab, is not within walking distance. Guests staying in this condo can be reached at the condo phone, (850) 576-5513. Check-in is after 6:00 p.m.: check-out is noon.

The charge for these rooms is $57 per night, per room.

The Village (354 Pennell Circle)
We also offer four one-bedroom, one-bath condos for visitors conveniently located within walking distance of the Mag Lab at an FSU housing complex. These units are fully furnished with a weekly maid service (usually done on Sunday afternoon). All linens are provided. There is one single bed in each bedroom and a single sofa bed in the living room. Each condo is designed for a maximum of two guests. They are not set up to accommodate children. The kitchen is furnished. The Village is located about a mile from the lab, so guests can walk to and from the lab. However, if you are planning on walking at night it is advisable to use the available escort service. Check-in is after 6:00 p.m.; check-out is noon. The charge for these units is $57 per night, per unit.

We ask all of our condo guests to observe the following rules:

• Staying in these Magnet Lab Units is like staying with a friend. Please treat the place as if it belongs to a good friend.
• These are NON SMOKING facilities. In the Honeysuckle Drive unit, a smoking area is set up on the back porch of the condo.
• Bicycles are NOT allowed inside. In the Honeysuckle Drive unit, they may be stored in the room on the back porch or chained to the back porch railing.
• Do not remove the spare paper products or cleansers. They are there for your use as needed while you are there.
• Keep your room and the common area clean.
• Do not leave food out.
• Linens provided with the condos are for use at the condos only and should not be brought to the beach.
• Nothing is to be stored on the window sills.
• Use all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating and appliances carefully.
• Do not destroy, deface, damage, impair or REMOVE any part of the premises or property therein belonging to the landlord, nor permit any person to do so.
• Do not disturb the neighbors.
• The maid services are for changing the linens and general cleaning, not for cleaning up behind the guest. Wash your dishes and clean up your clutter.
