Research Interests: Magnetic field effects on phase transformations at elevated temperatures, especially with respect to crystal growth, solidification, and solid-solid transformations in metals. Development and use of high temperature thermodynamic and scattering diagnostics such as calorimetry and x-ray diffraction to be deployed in high magnetic fields.
