2012 UC Meeting: Accommodations & Transportation
Hotel Reservations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Wingate Inn. Guests must make their own reservations.
Wingate Inn
Rooms are blocked at the Wingate Inn from November 6-11 for UC members only. To ensure the special group rate, make sure you indicate the name of the event, which is “MagLab User Committee Meeting.” Individual attendees must call 1 (850) 553-4400 to reserve the room to receive the MagLab rate of $89.00/per night. Please note that the extended cutoff date for group rates is Monday, October 22, 2012.
Wingate Inn is located at 2516 Lakeshore Drive (right off I-10). The Wingate has free airport shuttle service 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will also have a shuttle available for transport to and from the user committee meeting. The hotel offers free deluxe continental breakfasts and weekday receptions, free Wi-Fi internet access, a fitness center and hot tub and a 24-hour business center. Rooms have in-room microwaves and refrigerators.
Transportation
MagLab/FSU vans will be available in the morning and evening between the hotel and the MagLab. The vans will run Wednesday through Saturday morning from the Wingate Inn (meet in the lobby of hotel) and will be available for returning guests to the hotel. Please register for the shuttle service during the online registration. To sign up for specific dates, please come to the registration table, which will be located in the lobby of the MagLab.
