ArrowProject MagLab Recertification

This is a unique way for middle school and high school teachers to earn recertification points.

Magnet Lab Recertification Cover

Developed by a pair of Tallahassee educators, this comprehensive manual features eight inquiry-based, hands-on science activities on electricity and magnetism, molarity, electrical conductivity of solutions and related topics.

This curriculum package contains:

The manipulatives needed for the activities described in the guidebook are available from several locations in the state, including our Center here at the Magnet Lab, the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium (PAEC) in Chipley, the North East Florida Educational Consortium (NEFEC) in Palatka, and the Heartland Educational Consortium in Lake Placid. All materials have been reviewed and accepted by these groups, and are correlated to both middle and high school Sunshine State Standards and National Science Education Standards.

By completing activities and teacher assessment forms, teachers earn continuing education credits toward recertification. Leon County educators should submit these materials to Leon High School’s Rich McHenry. Teachers in other Florida counties should submit materials to PAEC, NEFEC or Heartland.
